Expansion
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday once again targeted the BJP and the central investigative agencies. He said via Twitter that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) should be renamed as ‘BJP Sena’. There was a time when these investigative agencies were respected. When they used to raid somewhere or arrest someone, it seemed that person must have done something wrong. Today these agencies have become only political weapons of the BJP.
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal met Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D. Raja and all CPI leaders on Wednesday. CM Kejriwal said after the meeting that the CPI leaders also believe that the dictatorial ordinance of the central government in Delhi is an attack on democracy and the constitution and they will support the people of Delhi in the Parliament against this ordinance. On behalf of all Delhiites, I thank all CPI leaders from the bottom of my heart.
Supreme Court had ordered
In fact, a five-member constitution bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, while giving its verdict recently, had said that except land, police and law and order in Delhi, the Delhi government will be free to take all other administrative decisions. She will also be able to do transfer-posting of officers and employees. Except on these three issues, the Lieutenant Governor will be bound to accept the rest of the decisions of the Delhi government.
center brought ordinance
It was possible to reverse the decision of the Supreme Court only by amending the law or making a new law. The Parliament is not functioning now, in such a situation, the central government overturned this law by bringing an ordinance. Now it is necessary to pass this ordinance in both the Houses of the Parliament within six months. That is why Arvind Kejriwal is meeting the leaders of the opposition parties, so that the central government cannot get the ordinance passed in the Rajya Sabha.
